Shark Island

This island off the coast of Koh Tao get its name from the shape of the rock sticking out of the ocean like the dorsal fin of a shark. It is a shallow on average yet incredible dive site. It is big enough to do in two dives, one on each side east and west edge. Big boulders, rocky formations with many hiding places. Turtles are often spotted around shark island.

It is also a good spot for snorkelers as its shallow waters packs tons of things to see.

Common species: Bluespotted Stingray, Blue Ringed and Lined Angelfish, Racoon Butterfly Fish, Scribbled Filefish, Giant Pufferfish
